Technology Introduction

Many waste treatment plants, cement plants, glass plants, power plants, steel plants, and OEMs worldwide require our FGD spray control solutions. Accurate spraying of catalysts requires specialized technical knowledge of droplet size, distribution, velocity, spray angle, spray direction, and a broad product line—all of which we can offer simultaneously. We have an extensive selection of nozzles, the ability to design and manufacture injectors with unique features, automated systems designs for NOx/SOx control, as well as process modeling capabilities that can verify performance at the testing stage.

Typical lance solutions

- Spray lance bar: Water-cooled jacketed designs which can purge air are often used for denitrification control. If the customer requires special spray lance lengths, materials, coatings, flange types, single or multiple nozzle designs, and other special needs, we can accommodate almost any code and design requirement.

- Denitrification Control System: This system controls all components, including nozzles, pumps, sensors, and other hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, and automatically adjusts in the event of a change in operating conditions.

- CFD Modeling: CFD is typically used to determine nozzle selection and injector placement in the gas stream. The model includes tower/tubing/boiler construction, gas composition, temperature, determination of flow rates and velocities that affect nozzle performance, and identification of potential problems such as wet walls. These data, along with the mixing efficiency of the chemicals, determine the expected NOx/SOx emissions and ammonia or urea leakage.
